A grassy tinge overlays the red cherry and toasty oak nose on this wine, speaking of freshness and youth. The palate comes in with far more juiciness on a sinuous, vivid body that combines freshness with red-cherry notes. There is concentration but no fat, lovely tannin but no bulk. This wine still needs a little while to integrate but its fresh-faced honesty has much to recommend it. Drink 2022-2032.

Alluring aromas of ripe cherry, on the verge of decay, sandalwood, rose, truffle, mineral and spice get your attention. Cherry and berry flavors persist as this red unfurls through the long, firm finish. Best from 2023 through 2036.
