The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras is velvety and suave, bursting with aromas of cherries, plums and berries mingled with spices, petals and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, layered and enveloping, with a deep core of fruit, bright acids and a mineral finish, it's one of the high points of the range once again.

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras ler Cru has an exquisite Vosne-like bouquet offering rose petals and violets, complementing the vivacious red fruit. Wonderful delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. Perhaps a little austere towards the finish, but I suspect that will fill out during the second winter in barrel. A bit of a dark horse.
