The palate is precise with orange rind and bitter lemon on the entry, fine depth and energy, cohering beautifully towards the finish. This is a composed, sapid Saint-Aubin.

Chiseled and youthfully reductive, the 2021 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard unwinds in the glass with notes of pear, citrus zest, dried white flowers, hazelnuts and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's deep and electric, with a racy spine of acidity and a long, scintillating finish.
