Notes of sweet orchard fruit, mint and white flowers preface the 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and vibrant white that concludes with a saline finish. Again, the style of the vintage works well with the site to temper its tendency to texture.

The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Blanc Clos de la Maréchale 1er Cru was reduced to three barrels because of the frost that affected the Chardonnay twice as much as the Pinot Noir. It offers beeswax and Clementine on the nose, a little resinous in style, with hints of dried honey and almond. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, quite rich with a creamy texture. Ginger notes appear towards its persistent finish. Fine length. Enjoy this over the next 8-10 years.
