The 2022 Beaune Greves ler Cru comes from 101-year-old vines, the oldest, that comprise two-thirds of this cuvee. They apparently continue to produce good yields. It has a delineated bouquet with raspberry, wild strawberry, gravel and light orange rind aromas, very nicely focused with the 15% new oak seamlessly integrated. The palate has a cohesive, quite powerful entry. Layers of red and black fruit intermixed with hints of graphite and a dab of black pepper. Good sapidity towards the finish beckons you back for more. Very fine.

Offering up aromas of dark berries, cherries and plums mingled with peonies and spices, the 2022 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a rich core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins.
